Props List
Here is a detailed list of all the equipment and props used throughout filming accompanied with information on when and where it was used and why it was used in that scene.
Standard Digital Camera & Tripod
Here is an example of the camera used, it is a standard digital camera with tripod issued to every group for the purpose of filming and can perform all the actions from recording to taking pictures.
We had some minor problems with our camera since the first one malfunctioned and most of the footage lost, however the scene was easily re-filmable and came out well.
HD Digital Camera & Tripod
This is a High Definition Digital Camera and tripod normally reserved for the people in A2 but because of the circumstances with our group’s standard camera we were forced to use this to re-shoot the conference scene since the previous one lost all the footage and there were no spare cameras that could be taken out.
The scene was shot well despite the slight quality difference in our film now due to different cameras being used, however the camera performed well and had improved not only the quality but the sound and movement as well.
Microphones, Cables and Stands
For the conference scene the hall we used had to be made to look authentic and so the group reserved and used these microphones and in every boxing conference there are always microphones so the audience can hear the athletes.
We used both a standard recording microphone and microphone stands so that the characters wouldn’t have to hold them while speaking and put the cables under the table and plugged them in. The microphones were never turned on since it wasn’t necessary and it was expected they would affect the sound of the product.
Gloves and Punch Bag
Here are examples of the boxing memorabilia used in our production when filming the gym training sequence. Mike is shot taking boxing gloves out of his bag, putting them on and starting to hit the punching bag.
The gloves were an Everlast brand since it was the most common used in both the films analysed and the punch bag was a home made bag created by the gyms owner.
There were other miscellaneous props used such as chairs and desks but since these were every day items we felt it wasn’t necessary to include them in a props list.
