Alexander Martin performed many roles throughout the projects completion first starting out as the primary researcher but as time went on and a majority of the group were taken with illnesses had to sep up to cover their responsibilities.
He managed to find all the locations used in the production very early in the development and acted as the main organiser for filming times / dates. During this time he also researched a number of boxing films: Rocky franchise, Ali, Raging Bull, Fighting and even non-boxing films such as Serpico, 8 Mile and Lock Stock so as to get ideas for filming ideas and how to set certain moods.
After initial filming was completed where he acted in most of the scenes he also helped edit the 1st and 2nd scenes in the corridor and the conference room. After that due to the original photographers recent series of illnesses he was to take up the role as photographer and return to all the locations and take the location, props and character photographs.

Ian’s previous camera experiences proved to be very useful throughout the projects filming since he already new most of the best positions to film from to get a desired effect.
He was responsible for gathering the equipment and deciding on the best course of action in the filming process with some help and criticisms given by rest of group, he also wrote the shot list and script to be presented on the blog and helped edit the 1st and 3rd scenes so that we were with the time limit for the production but also so that it still look continuous and fluid.
Planning also fell under his responsibilities by collaborating with Alexander Martin to create and effective and mostly followed call sheet and after much deliberation, since he was supposed to be the original actor for Coach Howard, he’s the one who wrote the character profile and attached the photograph.

James Allen was the first actor to be decided upon for this film not just because of him volunteering but by being one of the better built crew member for the role of a professional boxer.
Despite occasional disruption in the filming he proved to be a valuable actor who was able to follow instructions and even give instructions well as to how his character should act being Barnsley born which helped decide our stories location setting.
He was responsible for gathering information regarding the public’s opinion to boxing films and how they would view a film with our type of setting, this was to be accompanied by a series of graphs and charts to emphasise the results and make them easy to follow. James reviewed the more modern and up to date adaptations of the boxing genre and reviewed them by linking them with our main project so as to compare and contrast the points.
Editing was performed well with James helping to edit the 1st corridor scene and the final gym scene where he played to centre role for most of it, and his ability to choose, break down and reassemble sound proved invaluable since he was the main person in charge to finding and editing sound into the project. The original draft of the script was written by both James and Luke Green to be worked on later by Ian Uttley.

Luke Green was unfortunately ill for most of the projects developments due to stomach issues but his work still proved to be incredibly informative and useful throughout.
Photography was to be his main responsibility since he had a lot of experience using the more advanced cameras as opposed to the standard digital models, however was unable to attend most of the filming times due to health problems and so he was put in charge of editing the sound effects and helping with the editing for the 1st and 3rd scenes.
Acting as the antagonist was his volunteered role as he wished to play the “bad guy” and was very thorough in his research of Russian characters and how they would stereotypically behave in an athletic competition, taking a lot of inspiration from both Rocky III and Fighting Spirit.
His part in the editing was devoted to the title sequence where he was to research and analyse different title sequences both for boxing films and those which bare a similar story.
He also helped Alexander develop the treatments so that they could be broken down into simpler and easier to read formats so that potential viewers and distributors wouldn’t be put off by the amount of writing involved.
